R. John Ichter
Bob
Ichter is an accomplished artist in a variety of mediums with a BFA
in painting from West Georgia College. Over the years Bob has
diverted his creative attention from traditional painting to the use
of pure pigment pastel on archivally textured boards. This "diversion"
has led to international acclaim and world wide respect as an
innovator in this particular medium.
Bob's
pastels are hand-rubbed and highly textured works typically reflecting
an Impressionistic/Fauvist style. Today, his oils, watercolors
and award winning pastels can be found in galleries throughout the
world and are included in hundreds of private and corporate collections.
Numerous publications have also highlighted Bob's work; among those
are Southwest Arts Magazine, Atlanta Homes, the Atlanta BusinessChronicle,
the Eclectic Magazine, Design South and Atlanta Style & Design.
